Release Date:2024/8/14
“Integrated outpatient clinics for chronic diseases” have been opened and cover all the 14 grass-roots health centers. “Family doctor sites” have been established in the villages and communities in great demand and in short service supply to provide comprehensive health management services. Departments of geriatric medicine have been set up in 9 second-class and above general hospitals in Yiwu. 31 medical institutions in Yiwu have completed the construction of “elderly-friendly medical institutions” ... The achievements in elderly-oriented constriction are the real reflections of the endeavors of Yiwu to protect the health of the elderly.
Long-term care is an inevitable issue accompanying the aging process. In 2018, Yiwu became the first in Zhejiang province to establish the pilot project of “long-term care insurance”. Relying on policy superiority, Yiwu actively urged the hospitals below the second class to make use of their idle medical resources to set up integrated medical and elderly care centers and provide the elderly in the centers with 42 living care and 33 basic medical care services covered by the “long-term care insurance”. Until now, 11 grass-roots hospitals in Yiwu have set up integrated medical and elderly care centers and the number of beds is 461.
