The results of the project evaluation of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) of 2024 were announced, and 24 projects of Yiwu obtained the approval, the best result over the years.
NSFC is a major funder in China for basic research. The number of funded projects and the amount of the funds, to some extent, reflect the basic research level of the universities, research institutions and the regions. Among the 24 projects of Yiwu approved in 2024, the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine holds 20, including projects to be funded by the Research Fund for International Senior Scientists and the Research Fund for International Excellent Young Scientists. This is the first time that the projects of Yiwu have been approved by these two funds. The Yiwu Research Institute of Fudan University made its first attempt this year and achieved a breakthrough, obtaining the approval of 4 projects.
According to the data, Yiwu has been approved to establish 74 NSFC projects and 40 projects funded by Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province since 2021. |
